Bring a Friend Day – THIS Saturday!
We had so much fun with it last time, we’re bringing it back! Saturday will be another Bring a Friend Day here at the box. We’ll be holding a partner workout during the 9:30, 10:30 and 2pm classes so that you can bring a buddy to WOD with. Bring anyone – a friend, coworker, significant other, family member.. anyone! They do not have to have prior experience with CrossFit. We’ll cover all of the movements in detail and make sure they have plenty of help. This is a perfect opportunity to bring in someone that has heard you blab about CrossFit and show them what it is all about. You will partner with your buddy, so you can cheer them on and help make their first experience a fun and positive one. There is no advance sign-up necessary, just make sure they arrive a few minutes early to fill out some paperwork.

If any paleo challengers are looking for something new for breakfast I highly recommend you try this recipe for meat-crust quiche from paleomg. Great alternative to eggs and bacon and you can make one on Sunday to cover your breakfast for the entire week.

paleo challenge question: are lara bars paleo?! I always thought that they generally were not except for the cherry (or other) fruit-based ones but the peanut ones and chocolate ones are not, right.. or are they??? Thanks for clarifying!

Check out the app Only Paleo. I believe it’s affiliated with Robb Wolf and it’s a great quick reference guide

I think the non-peanut, non-chocolate ones are OK on the paleo challenge. They are just nuts and dried fruit. I wouldn’t go crazy on them though, they’re still pretty high in sugar.

OK, cool! Thank you! Yeah, i figured they were high in sugar from the dates/fruit etc. and also since they are packaged they must have some preservatives? i am staying away from them, thnx! especially since i only like the chocolate java ones 🙂

      Petra is exactly right!
