We are excited to announce that we will be holding another Friday Night Lights event THIS Friday night for 16.3! Our first Friday Night Lights was a great time. There was a great crowd supporting the athletes, pushing them to achieve their best results on 16.1. It was also just a great excuse to socialize with your WOD buddies and have a cold drink (or two). We are pumped to have REDLINE GEAR sponsoring this event. They’re inviting everyone to “Have a Beer with Redline Gear!” … that’s right. They’re bringing kegs. So come on down, do the workout and celebrate after, or don’t do the workout and just cheer your friends on. You’ll have a chance to shop for all of Redline’s newest and best gear. Sammy Sprinkles will be in the DJ Booth again, back by popular demand. You don’t want to miss this event!

General classes will be cancelled on Friday evening in lieu of the event. Everyone is welcome to participate in Friday Night Lights, regardless of whether or not you are signed up for the Open. Like last time, we will ask that you stick around to judge one heat of the workout after you complete your workout. We appreciate the help! We hope to see you all there to celebrate the halfway mark of the 2016 Open!

    PR’d my snatch. At 100, but have more work to do on form to get beyond 100…
    WOD 12:10 L3 couldn’t move on the rower the first two rounds

    It was awesome watching Morgan kill it retesting 16.2!!

    Did 16.2 first time today.. 175 Rx. 3 short of my goal to get through them.
    It was awesome to watch Marc and Morgan tear it up in round 2 this morning, they absolutely killed it!

    16.2: 165 Rx…a week off of skiing and drinking takes its toll, there’s always 16.3 🙂
    ANNOUNCEMENT: Make sure you guys fill out your fitness reimbursement forms through your insurance providers if you want free money! I have BCBS and theirs is due March 31. Last year, they cut me a check for three months worth of my membership at CFS! All insurance carriers are different, but worth looking into for sure.

      I get a free membership at BSC that I never use but they won’t pay for Xfit.

        i don’t see why not. Worth a shot if nothing less as it only takes a few minutes. Like I said, they gave me 3 months worth of dues back last year so it was a decent chunk of coin! Let me know how it goes

            I just put down what I pay per month and they cut me a check for three months worth. I thought it was limited to $150, but I wasn’t going to complain 🙂

    Re-tested 16.2 Got 340 up from 261. Managed one clean at 175 (power and front squat) then the bar slipped out of my hand for the second but I’ll take one rep. Good group this morning it was fun!

    retested 16.2. got 253, up from 176. failed two cleans at 225. first one was the ugliest clean I’ve attempted in 4+ years, only to be outdone by the second attempt – not sure I could do that again if I tried. Glad there’s no video, otherwise it would’ve ended up on a crossfit fails video.
