Welcome Christina!

We are very happy to announce our newest addition to the CrossFit Southie staff, Christina Morris!  Christina graduated from Liberty University in Virginia with a Bachelor’s degree in education. Her pursuit of a career in teaching led her to move to Massachusetts to accept a job within a local charter school. After a year of teaching, she realized that she loved working with the youth but did not enjoy the legalities within the school system. She decided to pursue a career in health-care by applying to the post baccalaureate pre-med program at UMass. Within her first semester, Christina heard through the grapevine about the “ kool-aid”  that the people over at CrossFit Southie were drinking so she decided to give it a try . Little did she know that her world would be completely transformed.  Christina is a strong CrossFit competitor and an even better person.  Make sure you give her a warm welcome and take any advice she is willing to lend.

*Gear For Grunts UPDATE *I just want to say thanks to everyone who has already donated a bunch of supplies to the Gear For Grunts drive – your generosity so far is humbling to say the least.  However, in my initial post for the drive I failed to take into account one other “item” crucial to making this drive a success- money. The shipping on these items is quite costly given they are going out of the country and we will probably need around $200 total once all of the supplies are in. If you could please donate a few dollars to the jar on the desk it would be greatly appreciated! Happy Holidays and Semper Fidelis.
