CrossFit East Regionals are Here!
It’s that time of year again… CrossFit Regionals are upon us, THIS weekend! We are proud to be sending a CrossFit Southie team to Regionals for the 5th consecutive year! The team has worked very hard all season long and we are proud to see them out on the floor representing CrossFit Southie. This year, the team is comprised of Goose, Hyatt, Bish, Caslin, Julie, Mel, Tinamo & Andrea. Be sure to wish them luck if you see them around the box!

We also want to give a special shoutout to EVERYONE who participated in the Open this year. We had so many different athletes score for the team throughout the five-week Open. Without everyone’s participation, we couldn’t have made it back to Regionals. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication – keep it up!

This year, CrossFit HQ announced a change to the Regional format, creating “Super Regions” for the first time. The competition will be tougher than ever before, as the top 15 teams and top 20 individuals from the Canada East Region and Northeast Region will be combining to fight for just 5 spots to the CrossFit Games. Every heat of the weekend will be filled with the best that each Region has to offer. It will be quite a show! This is an awesome opportunity to experience the competitive side of CrossFit and see some of the top athletes in the sport throw down.

There’s also a new venue for Regionals this year. For the first time ever, the team will be competing indoors at the XL Center in Hartford, CT. This is about a 90 minute drive from Southie. As a competitor, there is nothing better than looking up into the crowd and seeing a flood of Southie supporters. In year’s past, Southie has always had one of the biggest cheering squads. Let’s keep the streak alive! We hope to see many of you down in Hartford to check out the action and support the Southie team as they fight for a ticket to the 2015 CrossFit Games! Free t-shirt to anyone who shows up at Regionals to support the team!

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased HERE! You can either buy a 3-day pass, or individual 1-day passes. For more details and the schedule for the weekend, click HERE. The team will compete each morning between 9-12. Individuals will compete 12-5 each day.

Please post to comments and use the comments section to coordinate carpooling, etc. Don’t forget to wear your new Southie swag while you’re there to represent. See you in Hartford!
