Bring a Friend Day
This Saturday, grab a buddy and bring them to the 9:30, 10:30 or 2pm class!  Be sure to show up a little early so they can fill out a waiver.

Networking Night
When: Thursday, March 20th. First Day of Spring!!!!
Where: Southie Orange
Time: 6:30-8:30pm

“It’s good to know people”. How many times have you heard that saying? Our networking events are great for getting to know other professionals within our community. These people pour out their blood, sweat and tears next to you everyday, who better to work with professionally?  You may find that they offer a service you have been searching for on Google for weeks. Or maybe you have a service that you want to bring to the community. The CFS Networking Night will be a great opportunity to make connections.

Aside from professional reasons, the event will be a fun gathering that will allow members to get to know one another. There will b

e some physical activity, so come dressed as you normally would to the box. The 6:30 and 7:30 Class in Southie Orange will be canceled and the space will be reserved for the Networking event. There will be icebreakers and team related workouts that are reasonable for all ability levels. Afterwards we will have a few brews for everyone to hang out.

10 overhead squats, 95 / 65 lb.
10 chest-to-bar pull-ups

From 3:00-6:00
2 rounds of:
12 overhead squats, 95 / 65 lb.
12 chest-to-bar pull-ups

From 6:00-9:00
2 rounds of:
14 overhead squats, 95 / 65 lb.
14 chest-to-bar pull-ups

Etc., following same pattern

    82. My c2b ran away screaming and were nowhere to be found on that last set of 12. Wondering if I can pull off 6 more on Monday….

    86. 2 reps shy of round 3, so I’m going to give it another shot. Dropped the OHS in the 2nd set in the 2nd round and rested too long….that and my CTB stink.

    My goal was 11 since I had no idea if I could get c2b. I got 33! Pumped.

    192- got through 2nd set of OHS on the 16’s. No retest for me- hands are on strike for CTB’s until next week. Happy Friday!

    10 reps (plus two minutes of fighting like hell on the pull up bar)

    I’ll take my ten reps. There are plenty of people who can’t OHS a PVC Pipe due to poor mobility and flexibilty. When I first started at CFS I had trouble OHS an empty barbell. I banged out 10 pretty good squats this morning. That’s progress. The pull ups will come. That’s patience.

      That’s awesome, Sammy. To add another “p” word. That’s perspective. There’s a lot of talk on the internet about so many people having been excluded from the Open for not being able to do dubs last week or 1 or both of this week’s movements. And you’re still going strong! I’m heading in later to see what I can do. I only got my first 95lb OH squats about 6 weeks ago, so it could get interesting very quickly.
