Haymakers for Hope

We have two CrossFit Southie athletes participating in the Haymakers for Hope and they are set to fight each other!!! The best part is, they’ve never even met, how awesome is that? Two CrossFitters from the same box (obviously both beasts) going toe to toe, all in the name of charity! Fight night is Thursday May 17th, at the House of Blues. There are 13 different bouts on the card, all first time amateur fighters. Each person fighting has pledged to raise a minimum of $2,000. The whole event is a non-profit fundraiser for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. More info can be found here (http://haymakersforhope.org/)

Last year they raised about $200,000 on fight night. Tickets to the fight night are $75 and all ticket sales goes directly to Dana Farber and the Jimmy Fund. Here is a link to Jamie Martz individual fund-raising page (http://www.crowdrise.com/jamiemartzh4h) and here is Matt Cranes (http://www.crowdrise.com/mattcraneh4h). To purchase tickets to the event, there is a link at the top of the each fund-raising page that takes you to a livenation page, and you select the number of tickets you want under the person’s name who you want to support. Credit for the ticket sales goes towards each person’s fund-raising goals. It would be great to have a Crossfit Southie contingent there on fight night, it’ll be a fun and exciting event for sure. Hopefully see y’all there!
