Open WOD 16.1ย

Friday Night Lights – TONIGHT!
We hope you all can join us to kick off the 2016 Open Season at Friday Night Lights, from 4:00 – 8:00pm. Reebok will be in the house with some great raffles and prizes, along with free t-shirts for everyone who is signed up for the Open. Sammy Sprinkles will be spinning hits all night long. It’s sure to be a good time!

On top of all of that fun, we’ll have two Games athletes throwing down on 16.1 at 6:30pm. Come by to watch and cheer on Spencer Hendel and Ashleigh Wosny tackle the first workout on their way back to the CrossFit Games. Spencer finished 5th overall at the 2015 CrossFit Gmaes. Ashleigh Wosny finished in 2nd place overall in the 16-17 Year Old Division in the Teenage Competition at the 2015 Games. No matter what the workout is, these two are sure to put on a show!

Even if you are not planning on working out, come on down to cheer on the athletes and be a part of the fun. See you there!

Heat Times & Assignments
If you’ve signed up to participate in Friday Night Lights tomorrow, please check back to the blog on Friday for exact heat times and judging assignments. Not signed up yet? It’s not too late! Click HERE to sign up.
We’ll post exact heat times as soon as possible on Friday when we know what the workout is. We’re asking everyone who is participating to help out and judge one heat after their workout. Thank you in advance!
Due to the event, there will not be a typical coach-led warm up like there typically is in classes. A coach will be available in the athlete warm up area to help you get warmed up and give you some tips. Feel free to arrive early and spend plenty of time getting ready before your heat.

*Just a reminder, all evening classes will be replaced by Friday Night Lights. Classes will run as scheduled through 12pm. See you tomorrow!

16.1 in the books.. 172 Rx no defib needed, so all around a success.
I know we have had opportunity to try for a better score on Sunday, but this one wouldn’t be considered a candidate for retesting. That was 19 minutes of pure suck. FNL looks like fun, good luck y’all
