Bob Caslin at the CrossFit Games: Day 1 Recap
What a way to kick off the first day of the CrossFit Games! Bob is off to an amazing start and is showing the whole world what he is made of. After one full day of competition, Bob sits on top of the leaderboard in first place overall. In Event 1, Bob came from behind and blew away the competition on his final sandbag run to take home a first place win. In Event 2, he posted a 230-lb thruster, 30 pounds more than the nearest competitor! In Event 3, Bob basically muscle snatched 95-lb thirty times on his way to a second place finish.

Regardless of what happens over the next few days, we are SO proud of Bob and all he has accomplished so far. He is always cheering on his competition after he had finished… a true display of sportsmanship. We can’t wait to see what is in store for the next few days!

Bob will compete today (Wednesday) at 2:05pm and 6:45pm. Be sure to head over to games.crossfit.com or ESPN3 to catch the action and cheer Bob on from a distance!

CrossFit Games Coverage for the Rest of the Week
Today also kicks off the individual and team competition for the CrossFit Games. This week is the highest level of competition for our sport. Think of it as the World Series, Superbowl, Finals, whatever.. of CrossFit. The best of the best going head to head for the title of World’s Fittest. There are several divisions this year that you can check out: Team Competition, Individual Competition, Team Competition, and Masters Competition (Go Bob!). The CrossFit Games is truly a demonstration of fitness and our bodies potential at all different points in our life.

Even if you have no aspirations of competing yourself, it’s very inspiring to tune in and watch what the best athletes in the world are capable of. When you watch them grind through Murph later this week, you’ll be able to relate to what they’re going through. You have been there, and you know the pain they are pushing through, which makes their blazing fast times all that more impressive.
