Split Jerk: 160×3 (new 3RM – up by 5lbs) – still lots of room for improving technique
WOD: 116 L2 (17, 56, 43) – Clean & Jerks felt way off. I think it was from using less than perfect form in the light Clean & Jerks I did in my 2 outings with 14.1. Gotta get it together…
…but felt really good on that row. And burpees weren’t too bad either.
I’m hoping for some combination of thrusters, burpees, deadlifts, front squats, and push ups for 14.2!!

    Split Jerk – 135 x 3, 145 x 2 – dropped the third
    Wod – 103 L1 (21 37 45)

    Split jerk 105#
    Wod 117 RX
I will freely admit that I naughtily spent most of the time on the platform shmoozing with the ladies.
If I could crossfit half as well as I can chit-chat, I’d be headed to regionals.

Glad to be back wodding with the morning crew, but not enjoying the cold. If there was a CFS satellite location on St John, life would be perfect!

    Split jerk 125×3
Shared a platform with a new guy, who’s name I forgot already. He did great for his first time split jerking!
    WOD

Hitting yourself in the head with a barbell will slow down your CJs.

    165×3
    24CJ/65cal/60burpees=149
Ca$hout: 1:32 on the situps and then plank hold

  15. Mike Quigley 03/04/2014 at 1:03 pm

215×3 on the split jerk. 134 RX for the WOD. Paced myself a little too much throughout the whole thing. By paced myself, I mean I was being lazy as hell.
Cashout was 1:38 on the situps and plank hold (that was tough).
Then the double cash out was banded deficit handstand pushups with Rob. By the time 14.5 rolls around I’ll be begging for HSPU.
