Congratulations, Masters Athletes!
We wanted to take a moment to recognize our awesome CFS masters athletes who took on the Online Qualifier last weekend! Brian Campbell, Cindy Ewing and Bob Caslin hit four incredibly tough workouts over the course of four days and we could not be more proud of their effort. Just making it to the second stage of competition is an accomplishment in itself: you had to be ranked in the top 200 in the world in your age division at the end of the Open… no easy feat!

For Brian & Cindy, this was their first time competing in the Qualifier. They each moved up on the leaderboard and gave 110% effort. Brian jumped up 21 places, and finished in 135th place in the world! Cindy moved up 32 spots and finished 154th place in the world! Congratulations, Brian & Cindy! We love having these two as a core part of our CFS community – they show up each day, take classes, and work hard. Their hard work certainly paid off this year, and we are so proud of them. We can’t wait to see what happens next year!

Also, we need to give a shoutout to Big Bob Caslin! Though he has moved to NY this year, he is still a part of the CFS family. For the third straight year, Bob has earned himself a trip to the CrossFit Games! He finished in 10th place in the world in the Qualifier. We look forward to watching him take on the Games this summer and hope to see him on the podium once again!

Weekend Update
Bring a Friend Day TOMORROW!
Tomorrow we have a partner workout on deck so we will be hosting a Bring a Friend Day during ALL classes! Grab a buddy who is interested in trying out CrossFit and come on in! No prior CrossFit experience is required. No pre-registration necessary; please just arrive a few minutes early to check in at the front desk and fill out a waiver

Babysitting Service on Saturdays!
Don’t forget about our new Saturday morning babysitting service! Details below:
When: Saturdays, 9:00 – 10:30AM
Where: Southie Green in the back room (This room will be closed to athletes during this time)
Rules:
• Parents must stay in/near the building the whole time
• Open to children ages 5 and under
• No diaper changes
• No snacks other than bottles or baby food packets
• Will be capped at 6-8 kids. Signing up in advanced will eventually be required, but just show up for the first one until we get a feel for demand!

Our in-house care giver will be Cassidie Cade, a long-time member of the CrossFit Southie community. She has tons of experience with childcare, is CPR certified, and just an all-around great person to be around. We are psyched to have her!
