Garage games update – Sold Out!

Get excited! We are only 3 weeks away from the New England Finals event here at CrossFit Southie and we are sold out already!!!  The WODs will be announced on Friday, November 4th with standards videos.

All volunteers, judges, and sponsors will be asked to arrive at 7:00am on Saturday, and 7:30am on Sunday. Registration will begin at 7:30am on Saturday, and there will be an athlete briefing at 8:15am on Saturday and Sunday which is mandatory for all competitors.

The first heats will kick off at 9:00am sharp on both days.

CrossFit Southie has spoken with the surrounding neighbors and has secured an adequate amount of parking for the event. When athletes arrive they will be directed to the designated parking lots, the parking spaces directly in front of CrossFit Southie will be reserved for vendors and athlete tents. There has been a lot of concern about the November weather in Boston, which we realize is not ideal. 90% of the competition will be held inside, but we do encourage affiliates to bring athlete tents for their competitors and to bring lots of layers just in case. Even with the two spaces we hope to make use of our outdoor space.

The New England Finals is looking for more volunteers and judges for the weekend. It is going to be a great way to meet fellow CrossFitters and to become more involved with the community. Sign up today!

Mini WOD – With a partner:

3 rounds each of one athlete holds an l-sit, partner does supermans. Score is total number of supermans.
Scale l-sit with a medicine ball plank or a plank on the floor.

    Wow that was one of the toughest metcons I have done in a long time.

    At lunch time today: 95lb hang power clean and jerk, burpees, 20lb DB thrusters: 27:22

    I heard it’s gonna snow that weekend so you should just cancel any running wods you planned outside for the garage games anyway
