Hey, guys! Did you miss out on registration for the 2013 Southie Showdown? It’s not too late! We’ve got 4 spots recently available in the Men’s Rx division. If you’re interested, please email [email protected] as soon as possible so that we can get you registered. First come first serve!

Also, don’t forget.. Thursday is HALLOWEEN and we want to see you working out in your best costumes! Show up to the box in your best get up to participate in our costume contest. Coaches will nominate the top 5 costumes, and then we’ll let you guys vote on the winner. Don’t miss out on your chance to have some fun AND win some sweet Southie swag (and bragging rights, of course)! The only way to truly Rx the workout will be in costume!

Finally, if you haven’t seen him around the box yet we wanted to introduce you to our newest team member, Sean Peters.  Sean is performing massage on Mondays from 8-3, Wednesdays from 12-7 and some Saturdays.     WOD1: 4+8 (55/purple) went lighter weight to work on form – first time i felt like i was dropping under the bar!
    Wod2: 6+5 (L2) first 2 rounds got a nice groove going and then rest were more whips then dubs
    GO SOX!!

    In the words of the great Kyle MacDonald…”it’s a Halloween miracle”. This bitch got consistent dubs tonight. What??!!! Yup! Y’all heard it first here, finally got ’em!!!

    Deceptively awful.
    Wod 1: 4+9 @ L2 – had to strip off 10# after the first round. Just say no to ugly snatches.

    6+1 on #1 and 7+6 on #2. Watch out for scary plastic bugs around the box, someone with a 5-letter name beginning with C and ending with K has been placing them all around.

    WOD1 – 3+2 RX. The snatches at 115 made me nervous for the 135 squat snatches in the Southie Showdown WOD-2.
    WOD2 – 6+7 RX. shoulders were on fire.
