Dudley, two of those people in that NYT article have great blogs that I follow. I was just embarking on my paleo journey when I saw that article last year.

    Melissa’s blog is:

    John’s is:

Vladimir’s all raw diet doesn’t make any sense from an anthropological perspective (humans have had fire for the last couple million years) or biochemistry perspective. The vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients in most food, including meat and veggies, become more bio-absorbable by humans when in a cooked state vs. raw. There’s nothing paleo about eating only raw food.

Don has a good write-up on this:

I’m not saying eating some raw food isn’t good, I enjoy my uncooked salad with veggies most nights, but the idea of only eating raw food like that guy for your health doesn’t make any sense. Sashimi on the hand is an excellent idea.

Is anyone willing and able to judge Pete Mac in the morning? He has class at 10am so he will be unable to partake in the festivities. Amy and I have are hands full with classes and setting up for the event. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey Alec

I have a friend who is an elementary school teacher. I asked her about this in Mass schools and she informed me that it is true. Dogeball, is no more. Then now use bean bag like sacks and throw/slide them at kids feet. If your feet get hit your out. Kinda like the “G” rated version of an “R” rated game. “R” for “RAD!!!!”

    RIP Dogdeball

I saw this on Barstool the other day. Ridiculous. Apparently, Frisbee, tug of war, and sack races are safe, though.

Camps will just play “Extraterrestrial” on loop all day and have their kids do burpees instead.

Kickball, wiffleball, dodgeball, capture the flag, freeze tag and other classic games banned in NY for being too dangerous for kids. No I’m not kidding:

Absurd! A lot safer than sitting around eating chips and playing videogames!
