Squat City

Annie Thorisdottir dropped in for a WOD on Sunday. Annie is one of the most well known CrossFitters worldwide. Last year she finished second in the CrossFit Games, and this year she finished FIRST! It was a pleasure and an honor meeting her, she is extremely sweet an easy going. Hopefully she will come by again if she is the area visiting Reebok HQ.

**You will be using the same weight on the front squat as you do on the push-press**

    Well said Ranjith! That is the exact attitude that allows a person to be successful in any arena of life they enter; not just CrossFit. Keep up the great work! All of us at CF Southie can take something away from your astute observation.

    Today’s workout was suspiciously similar to Sunday’s Thruster workout. Meaning, I won’t be able to go up or down stairs for the next three days.

    Goose decided to do front squats while I was doing back squats, so that probably helped the motivation.

    The 21’s in the wod took over 10 minutes. Then Maze started watching and I got the 15’s in about two minutes.

    I used to think CrossFit was about getting in better shape, but I’m learning that it’s about more than that. It’s about becoming a better person, with higher standards and more integrity. It’s about learning that time and space are not what bounds us–that we are really only bounded by our own imagination, commitment, and courage. When you start your day with an achievement like this, is there anything you can’t do?
