On Saturday, October 19th, we will have the 3rd Annual Photo Scavenger Hunt around the city. Meet at 9am, above ground at Park St. station at Termont Street. Wear your Southie green, and feel free to bring friends along!
Each group will need one smart phone, and you will have 90 minutes to capture pictures of your group doing 
CrossFit moves at different Boston landmarks of your choice. You must travel on foot… no transportation! This is supposed to serve as an endurance WOD for the day (there will be no other classes on Saturday). In years past, groups have hit up the South Bay Center, while others went down to Fenway park, and even the North End.
We want you to be as creative as possible. Try to use props, use tourists, create scenarios, take quick videos, do some kettlebell swings with gallons of milk… make this entertaining! When was the last time you explored the city on foot? You will have 90 minutes to complete this task, and trust me, it will be one hell of a workout. The group that has the the best set of pictures will win.
The photo scavenger hunt has grown into a tradition like no other and is one of our favorite days in CrossFit Southie history. You don’t want to miss out, it is a great opportunity to get to know people. This event does not count towards your weekly total for classes. Everyone is welcome. Bring your friends and don’t forget to wear your Southie gear!
Here are some ideas for photos, but don’t be afraid to get creative!: Handstands, L-Sits, Pistols, Box Jumps, Overhead Squats, Pull-ups, Burpees… the list goes on and on!

Later that night, we’ll be having our 3-Year Anniversary party at The Bell in Hand. Please join us to celebrate 3 years of CrossFit Southie with your fellow members. There will be good food, drinks, music, and hopefully sweet dance moves! The upstairs room will be reserved for us from 7:00-9:30, and then will open to the general public. We highly recommend arriving before 9:30 to avoid a line and cover charge. After 9:30pm, there will be a $10 cover charge. Recommended dress code is fancy! See you there!
