Complimentary Physical Therapy Screenings Assessment with in house DPT Carly Stote
Our daily activities – work, sport and life – cause each of us to move differently. In a world where we frequently sit for long periods of times and produce repetitive movements each day, we are often left with muscular imbalances and mobility limitations. These imbalances and limitations can lead to poor movement mechanics, muscular pain and possible injury.
The first step to correcting these imbalances or limitations is identifying them… and we are here to help! We are excited to be offering one-on-one movement and mobility screenings, free to all of our members. These screenings will not only help you identify any movement or mobility issues you may have, but also provide you with the tools you can use to help correct them.

Carly accepts most forms of insurance if you choose to do any follow up appointments. Physical therapy screenings are performed on those who may have pain, tightness, mobility limitations, and/or weakness. These screenings include basic tests that measure range of motion, motor control, strength, & flexibility. Based on these findings, the physical therapist will give you an opinion on the best path of treatment.
More on Muscle Imbalances…
Activities through work, sport and life cause each and every one of us to move differently. In a world where we constantly sit and produce repetitive movements, day in and day out, our bodies adapt to our surroundings and create inefficiencies known as muscular imbalances. Muscle imbalances lead to low quality movement patterns, which ultimately lead to low energy levels, muscular pain and possible injury.
Through the process of assessment our coaches are able to identify these imbalances. We are able to hone in on inefficiency of movement and can start to put in place specific exercises to complete before and after workouts to get your kinetic chain performing as efficiently as possible. By adding in these corrective flexibility strategies and re-teaching essential movement patterns, we are able to further restore the body to optimal alignment, both pain and injury free, further producing better movement in and outside the gym and garnering more success in our fitness program.
Measuring our mobility with movement screening
Fran, Fight Gone Bad, One rep max lifts: these are our CrossFit benchmarks that let us know if we are improving and what we need to continue to work on. But what are our benchmarks with mobility work, and how do we know if we are improving? Enter, Movement Screening
The goal of the movement screen is to reduce dysfunctional movement – mobility, imbalances, and/or weakness issues. If you continue to train in a dysfunctional manner, you will be putting yourself at risk for injury and decrease your ability to workout at your highest level.
This is an excellent opportunity for you to identify what exactly is holding you back and walk away with clear direction on how to fix it.
The Movement Screen is free with membership, click here to schedule yours today.
