Sunday Schedule

Patheadshot

As many of you are aware, we lost one of our best friends, Pat Padgett, over the weekend. Pat P was diagnosed with an aggressive form of mouth/throat cancer in June 2014, just a few weeks after he competed on the CFS Team at Regionals. Despite everything, Pat fought through his pain and lived the last year of his life on his terms. Pat never felt sorry for himself, he remained positive in a time of hopelessness. His spirit was, and forever will be, unbreakable. Pat will live on always, in our hearts.

Pat’s family has asked us to host his memorial. We could not be more honored to hold a celebration to remember our dear friend. The memorial will be held this Sunday, November 22nd from 12-4. All are welcome to come honor Pat.

On Sunday morning, we will be running heats of Pat’s workout, “PR for Pat”. A heat will kick off every 30 minutes, starting at 9am. The last heat will begin at 11:00am. All are welcome to come in and complete the workout. Athletes will be responsible for their own warm up. We hope you can join us in honoring Pat in this very fitting way.

The Celebration of Pat’s Life will begin at 12:00. We ask that everyone arrive by 1:00pm to be present for the tribute speeches and videos. Below is the timeline of events for Sunday:

12:00 – 1:00pm: PR for Pat WOD completed by Pat’s closest family & friends; mingle with everyone
1:00 – 2:00pm: Tribute speeches
2:00 – 3:00pm: Tribute video & slide show
3:00 – 4:00pm: Socialize & share your favorite Pat P memories with one another

Many of you have asked how you can help on Sunday, which we greatly appreciate. Pat’s family has insisted that they acquire the costs of the celebration. After all they have been through, we are trying to keep the cost as low as possible. We are looking for contributions of food and drinks for the service, as well as volunteers to help direct parking, pour drinks, and organize the food. Anything you can contribute or do will be much appreciated.

THIS spreadsheet has a list of jobs and contributions we are looking for. Please add your name next to where you’re able to contribute. Again, thank you all for your support during this tough time.

Nice PR, Quigs. You and Rob were making that bar look light. Old man strength coming through. I will never erase those videos.
