Friday Night Lights – TONIGHT in Southie Green, 5-7pm
Just a reminder that we’ll be hosting our second annual Friday Night Lights tonight from 5-7pm. The final heat will include many of our top competitors, so we’d love to have some extra support for them as they make the final push to qualify for Regionals. The team currently sits in 16th place, and needs to be in the top 15 to qualify. They need your support & energy! We hope to see you there even if you are not working out. We’ll close the night out with some beers and ciders to celebrate the end of the 2015 Open!

EVERYBODY can participate in this – Rx, scaled, signed up for the Open or not. This is a great opportunity to complete the workout in a competitive atmosphere. If you haven’t signed up yet and would like to participate, just shoot us an email to [email protected] and we’ll get you set in a heat!

Please be prepared to warm up on your own. Everyone who is participating will also be asked to judge another heat.

Important Reminder: The 5pm, 6pm, and 7pm classes in Southie Green will be cancelled. If you’d prefer to complete the workout at night in a regular class setting, the 3:30, 4:30. 5:30 and 6:30 classes in Southie Orange will run as scheduled.

Increased Body Work Hours
For all you wannabee supple Leopards… Natalie has opened up Thursdays and Sean has opened up Sundays for body work. Natalie offers deep tissue sports massage and cupping techniques and Sean is more of an Active Release Therapy specialists. If you haven’t checked them out yet, check them out today! Leslie Griffin

In April, we are happy to announce that long time Yogi and CFS member, Leslie Griffin will be sharing the role of Yoga class instructor with Tamara.  Leslie has been practicing yoga for over 10 years, beginning as a skeptical high-schooler, embracing yoga further as an undergraduate student at Boston University, and then identifying herself as a full-blown yogi when she was a vegetarian living in LA. She ditched LA and vegetarianism, but the passion for yoga continued. Leslie sees yoga as a practice to quiet the mind while physically caring for the body, a great complement to the physical and mental activity of CrossFit.

Leslie pursued teaching to share the intrinsic joy she feels after yoga. She completed a 40 hour teacher training studying under Bryan Kest, a Santa Monica-based instructor who pioneered the Power Yoga methodology. Juggling a full-time job at an ad agency and a part-time MBA program at Boston University (Terrier for life!), Leslie uses yoga as both meditation and exercise to holistically nourish both body and mind.

Yoga is every Sunday @ 10am in Southie Orange (except for this Sunday) and does not count toward your weekly total of classes.  Yep, it is free with membership.  Please come in and take advantage.
