127 reps up from 85 reps for 14.2 and 116 reps from re-test last month.
    I’ll take the improvement!

95 scaled/L2. Got 39 out of the 40 reps needed to get to the 4th round. Looks like somebody will be retesting come Monday!

116 rx… Not fun but I beat my last year’s score by 101, yes.. I got 15 last year! And I never want to do this one again. Ever.

107 Rx is +40 from last year. This was still a total goat for me but happy to up my numbers and make it to the 3rd round.

Very interesting approach to this. Do the OHS in 3 sets resting the bar on the back in between to maintain low heart rate.

that sounds really dumb to me unless OHS really give you trouble. This would be okay in opposition to putting the bar down as you dont have to do the work to pick it back up but if you can do them unbroken without redlining that would be best case and rest on the pullups to keep heart rate down.
I would say get nice and limber before the WOD. Stretch chest quads calves and glutes primarily until you feel smooth in OHS position without weight. Stay smooth and fast on OHS (not all over the place) and break the pull ups into 2 sets and 3 sets. Go slower than you think you should in the first couple rounds to keep your heart rate down, giving yourself a breather before pullups and before picking up the bar.

GOAT rodeo – 86 Rx (still +21 from last year)
Those 2 C2B reps will be haunting until 16.2…

+21 is badass, Kurt. Nicely done. Have fun shredding the gnar this weekend.

Freakin Alec, always the one upper!
200 is 19 better than last year and 6 better than last month.

Now that it’s been repeated in pretty sure I will never do this again.

How did you break the C2Bs up Master P?

      • Marc Piccuirro

        03/06/2015 @ 5:00 pm

Right from the beginning. 5-5, 6-4-2 and so on. I’ve done this 3 times and this was the most amount of breaking I’ve employed. It also produced the best score I’ve posted

Awesome, thanks! And great work as always!!

I was able to beat Marc by 1 since he dropped the last set of OHS and I was able to get in all the OHS unbroken. If you can do it I think that’s a good strategy. In my oxygen starved brain I actually heard Marc yell “Don’t make the same mistake I did- don’t drop the barbell!” – that was sage advice, thanks Marc. ๐Ÿ˜‰

201Rx, +9 over last year, giddyup! No retest, that is a tough one on the hands which is what I remember from last year.

Great crowd at 5:30 this morning!
