Just heard that you could do ground to overhead instead of a snatch. The Crossfit website says Power snatch, now I don’t have my L1 Certificate but I’m pretty sure those are two different “elements” of movement. Don’t get me wrong, the only way I’m going to the games is if I buy a plane ticket, but equating those two movements is ridiculous.

My complaints are directed exclusively at Crossfit.com, Glen, Pukey and that pony tailed guy on many of the videos. (I sound like Lando right now) I know I can retest on Sunday, but I was planning on doing a double WOD of Murphy and Clovis…

Movement video / Smchovement video….. if they wanted it to be G2OH than just say that instead of power snatch. Show 100 CFitters a “Corporate” website post with 30 Dubs and 15 Power Snatches and tell me how many do C+J… the answer rhymes with zero. We shouldn’t need to watch a video for that WOD.

    173. Used the clean & press instead because my snatch is shaky at best. But had my proudest moment of the year so far…set of 30 unbroken dubs in the 4th round about 8.5 minutes into the WOD. It was an Open miracle! Or some bizarre mix of adrenaline, fatigue, focus, and oxygen deprivation.

Keep up the awesome work CrossFit Southie!

I feel like Peyton Manning, I just don’t show up for the big game. Not that I’m on par with that talent anyway but you know what I mean

newbie question… Are we allowed to record our workouts? Mine will never be viewed publicly but I’d like to have a record of my first open lol.

Hey Sammy, if you signed up for the Open you can put your scores right into the games site and you can back and check them over the years. If you didn’t register, you can log your scores here in the comments and use the search box at the top to find old scores when WODs reappear.
