    WOD1: 3+11 Rx!!! Not huge numbers but finally graduated to band less pull-ups so I’m pretty tickled that I can finally check that life goal off the list hahaha.
    Death by thrusters: 10 even, Rx. Like Barrow, my downfall was resting the bar between sets of 5 on that last round.
    Overall my first Rx night all around so I was on cloud 9 for the ride home haha, baby steps over here. Great energy in the 730 tonight with Coach Nick, the Driscolls, and some newer faces, especially with those thrusters – nice work tonight everyone!

    Wod 1: 5 + 10 Rx. Somehow didn’t tear, but split open my hand. There’s got to be good grips or gloves somewhere.
    Wod 2: 7+4 Rx!! Usually don’t do rx for weights. Excited I got a couple of rounds.

    Kate and Jill destroyed thrusters tonight. Kick ass ladies!

    WOD 1: 8+8 if I could do butterflies would I be faster, Gotta learn those ASAP.
    WOD 2: 9+8 couldnt finish the 10 reps :/ never done this wod, Next time I gotta get 10. (Both wods rx)

    Note to self: Last round I shouldn’t have put the bar down like barrow said.

    WOD 1: 8+8 RX

    WOD 2: 11 even. I was gassed. Wouldn’t have got the 12 so didn’t even bother. Will give me something to strive for next time.

    WOD 2: 8 – thrusters are my goat for sure.

    WOD 1: 5+13 Rx
    Played around with gymnastic grips tonight, NOT feelin’ em. The good news is I shedded them after class and did the best butterfly sets of my life, FEELIN’ THOSE.

    WOD 2:
    8/2/12: 9+3 Rx (wod 1 of 2)
    7/29/13: 10+3 Rx (wod 2 of 2) PR!!!
    [Note for future Barrow reading this next time we do ‘Death By Thrusters’: don’t put the bar down to break up the set, that was your downfall, you need the extra rest on the back end before the next set.]

    Mark from Maine has convinced me that we live soft down here. No Crossfit experience, but every time he comes down from the wilderness to WOD he kills it.

    Wod 1: 8+7 RX just like quig first rd butterflies p/u then switched to kip p/u
    Wod 2: 8+4 RX shout out to the new coach forget his name lol..nice class????????

      That was COACH MELBERG leading the 7PM tonight! Feel like he’s been encouraging me since day 1, about time that he did so in an official capacity.

    Death by Thruster: 9 + 8 RX . Last time I did this I got 7+5. Pumped.

    Amy–thanks for programming this one! Definitely enjoyed revisiting death by thrusters!
    WOD 1: 5+6 Rx – psyched to finally be putting up some reasonably OK numbers with Rx pull ups
    WOD 2:
    Death by Thrusters August 2012: 10+2 L2
    Death by Thrusters July 2013: 10+8 L2 – Thanks to Nick for almost getting me to finish that 11th minute! He definitely pulled a few more reps out of me than I thought I had in me. A bit bummed that I didn’t get through the set of 11 but at least I beat my score from last time. And last time death by thrusters was the 1st and not the 2nd of 2 WOD’s, so I suppose I should be happy!

    so, the old man (me, papa schurk) made an appearance at the 730am, fine time to return!
    wod 1: 5 rounds, arm still fighting me over pull ups
    wod 2: a litlle Dolly Parton action 9 + 5.
    actually not bad numbers for me, considering the 1st time i did death by thrusters i failed in the 11th minute, thinking it was hands never come off the bar, and i didn’t preceed it with a 7 min amrap consisting of pullups and burpees. oh and i had 2 intact bicep tendons!! all in all fun for days!

    WOD 1: 8+12 and another torn hand. Any good advice for not ripping at the base of your palm while doing butterflies??

    WOD 2: if we made it to 14 then I went 14+13. I was so toasted after this I couldn’t think straight. Wish the timer didn’t reset bc I didn’t know where I was as I was flat on my back.

    WOD1 – 7+1 RX. butterflies felt good on the first round, then disappeared. progress.
    WOD2 – 11 rounds even RX
    The good news is, unless you actually die, it’s impossible for this one to be worse than it sounds. Mark R. and Marc P. had a great head to head battle this morning – pretty sure they were into the 14th minute.
    Kelly – you owned the place this weekend – PRs and kickass times, nice work.
