As most of you already know, tomorrow is Tina’s last day as a full-time coach here at CFS. We are all very sad that this day has come. There is no kinder human being than Christina. She is genuinely one of the best people we have ever known and gives truth to the saying “as beautiful inside as out”.

When Christina started working at CFS 4 years ago, her and Goosedaddy were having a conversation and Christina mentioned how much she hated the name “Tina” and how she was scarred from her teen years when her dad decided to make her a vanity license plate that read “Tina-mo”. In true Goose fashion he decided to call Christina “Tina-mo” ย from that point forward, and boy did it stick!!

For someone as easy-going as Tina-mo, the girl knows how to push hard. I don’t think we have ever seen her slack off during a WOD. Watching her compete as an individual at the 2014 Regional was such as thrill. The whole community was behind her shouting the “Tina-mo” chant. Her hair was flowing through the wind and the cameras were loving her as always.

It’s been amazing watching Tina develop herself into an excellent coach over the past 4 years. Her instruction is always well thought out with a fun spin on it. She loves helping people and it shows. I will miss watching her walk in for her shifts all bundled up, pissed off, and complaining about the cold New England weather. It’s rare to see Tina angry, but when it is cold and snowy it’s a given.

Lucky for us, Tina-mo isn’t going far. She accepted a job with GamePlan, whose offices are in the financial district. You will see Tina-mo around the gym working out and during community events. It’s not good-bye, and it’s a good thing because I don’t know what Bradley would do! Tina is his GURL.

Tina-mo, we all love you and CFS is what it is because of your amazing presence. Words will never come close to explaining what you mean to us. Thank you for all that you have done over the years, we are forever grateful.

Soooo….I am sure you are wondering, who the heck is going to replace Tina?! We will be announcing the new coach in a few weeks. After several interviews last week, the job was offeredย to one of the candidates and it was accepted. Out of respect for this coach’s current community we want to allow for a proper exit before releasing any names. Stay tuned.

300X5, 8:27Rx – I’m both happy and sad- sad that TinaMo won’t be coaching at CFS and sharing her bright smile with the classes, but happy that she will be in a great new job, and also happy that she’ll still be around, so happy wins out 2-1!

Glazed donut after the WOD was delicious, my 1st donut in 5ish years. Great post WOD carb refueling! At least that’s what I told myself.

Also that picture is really badass.

Bittersweet TinaMo – Happy for you, but would rather be selfish and have you as a coach. Glad you’ll still be around the gym and wish you the best at the new gig ๐Ÿ™‚

TinaMo, you are an excellent coach and I appreciate all of the help over the last 3-1/2 years. We’re all going to miss your coaching but I’m glad we’ll still see your smiling face around the gym. Best of luck with the new venture – no doubt you’ll be great at the new job.
