2017 Nutrition Challenge Kicks Off in Early January!
We all know that this is an awesome time of year filled with holiday parties, delicious treats and lots of drinks. While these times are fun, it’s pretty difficult to keep our diet in check during these times, and come January, we’re often ready for a refresh. Fear not… we’ve got your back! We’ll be kicking off another gym-wide Nutrition Challenge in early January. Not only does proper nutrition help us feel and look our best, it is critical to optimal performance in the gym. Whether youโ€™ve been CrossFitting for years or just getting started, getting a handle on how to properly fuel your body will take you to the next level in training.

We’ll be changing the format of the challenge again to keep things interesting… so even if you’ve done a nutrition challenge with us in the past, you should join this one, too! This will be a six-week individual challenge and will not be a strict paleo challenge. The focus will be on removing sugar from our diet along with alcohol (yes, you read that correctly), while learning how to incorporate healthy carbohydrates and dairy into our diets. We hope that this will be a useful learning experience for you that will leave you with a new and sustainable outlook on nutrition.

The challenge will be led by our in-house Registered Dietitian and Sports Nutritionist, Michelle Boutet. Sheโ€™ll be with you every step of the way โ€“ from the kick-off lecture through the very end to help hold you accountable and answer any questions you may have.

Whether you are brand new to CrossFit and havenโ€™t given nutrition a second thought, or have been counting your macros for months, this new nutrition challenge will definitely help you stay focused and committed to your goals and see some changes over the six weeks. We hope to have a large group this time aroundโ€ฆ the more, the merrier! Grab your friends and get ready to kick things off after the New Year!
