How is your diet?

A common misconception is that if you workout all the time you can eat whatever you want. Not true. In reality, a poor diet will not only cause detriment to your overall health and wellness, it will also compromise performance. CrossFit gyms across the world agree with the same nutrition principles, which are consistent with the Paleo Diet. The Paleo diet encourages eating meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch, and no sugar. Yes, you read correctly, NO GRAINS! Eliminating grains from your diet might be difficult at first, but after 1-2 weeks  you will have more energy, feel more satiated after meals, and potentially see a major improvement on your WODs. If the Paleo diet didn’t produce results and change lives we wouldn’t be promoting it.  Try it…just like CrossFit it’s not joke, it works.

***A “Tabata” is an interval pattern of 20 seconds work: 10 seconds,  repeated 8 times. During this workout count your reps during each of the intervals. Your lowest number of reps during the 8 intervals is your score for that exercise. At the end you will add your lowest rep count from each of the 5 exercises, and that will be your score. Count calories on the rower in place of repetitions.***
