Are you bummed that you didn’t make it to LA this summer to see your favorite CrossFit Games athletes throw down live and in person? Not to worry… many of them are coming to the Northeast, and will be competing against some of CrossFit Southie’s very own athletes!ECC Logo

CrossFit New England is hosting their second annual Competitor’s Division competition on January 25 & 26 right in our own backyard, at the Seaport Wold Trade Center. Many big name athletes, including Chris Spealler, Lindsay Valenzuela, and Rich Froning will be competing throughout the weekend. This is an excellent opportunity to cheer on your fellow Southie members, while catching some elite-level athletes in action.

Saturday 1/25 will be an individual competition. Our very own Pat P. is registered to compete, and he’s given us his guarantee that he will take down Chris Spealler in at least one workout. Go Pat!

Sunday 1/26 will be a team competition, and Southie has two teams representing! TinaMo, Andrea, Hyatt & Dale, and Tracy, Rachel, Bish & Whoriskey will all be trying to take down Rich Froning and his start-studded team.

Get pumped to cheer on the Southie squad, along with your favorite CrossFit superstars. Tickets for the event go on sale on January 14 at 3pm, and the event will sell out. The link to purchase tickets is below. Go Southie!

    12:48, skinny purple, 2ab mats
Got first connected unassisted chest 2 bar pull-ups but they fell apart in the wod so I used the band as a crutch.

15:11. Did kipping HSPUs for the first time. Used red bands for the WOD though. Oh, and I’m a hand ripping machine. Any opinions on using grips?

20:34 RX. By far the last one in a huge class to finish. I still had a full round to go by the time everyone else was done. The handstand pushups killed me…probably spent 15+ mins on those. Feel really good about grinding through that one RX – I knew it was going to be a close call on whether I could get all those HSPU. Thanks to coach Nick and the rest of the 530 crew for the support/encouragement at the end.
