Congratulations on the Masters Qualifier Brian & Cindy!

Brina Campbell

Congratulations, Brian & Cindy!
Please join us in wishing the biggest congratulations to Brian Campbell and Cindy Ewing for their inspiring performances in the Masters Online Qualifier last weekend! The AGOQ is the second step toward qualifying for the CrossFit Games for Masters athletes. Only 200 athletes in each age division advance to this round of competition, and we are so proud to have two of these superstar athletes representing CrossFit Southie!

After securing their spot in the Online Qualifier after the Open, Brian and Cindy took on four incredibly tough workouts over the course of four days. These were hands down the toughest Qualifier workouts we’ve ever seen – including rope climbs, hand stand walks, super heavy cleans, handstand push ups, and more! There was no scaling of movements for these Masters… even the 60+ division was asked to get upside down and walk on their hands!

When all was said and done, both Cindy and Brian improved on their 2017 performances, and moved up on the leaderboard after the Open. In 2017, Cindy finished in 154th place. This year in an even larger field of athletes, she finished in 150th, improving on her Open finish of 180. Way to go, Cindy!

Brian made huge improvements this year. Last year, he finished the Online qualifier in 135th place. This year, he finished the Open in 85th place. With four amazing performances, he jumped from 85th place to 49th place overall. Top 50 in the WORLD – wow!

Congratulations to Cindy & Brian on a successful, inspiring season. We are so proud to have these two representing our community. They show up every day, take class, work hard, and have great attitudes. Hard work pays off!
