Drew is running all 26.2 miles barefoot!!

Mama and Papa Wallace

It would be really cool if we could help Drew meet his goal before the gun goes off on Monday…
“Thus far I have raised almost $30,000 in support of the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (SOWF). My donations page is right here, I am literally about a 1,000 short of my goal www.firstgiving.com/rangerdew . More specifically, the funds are being raised in memory of my friend, SFC Lance H. Vogeler who was KIA in support of combat operations this past OCT in Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). He had 3 children, one of which he did not get to meet as he was born 4 months ago. The SOWF provides college tuitions for the children of deceased Special Operation Forces (Rangers, Seals, etc).

I will be doing this marathon completely barefoot. I have been a barefoot coach and practitioner for years, and ran many marathons before but never barefoot. By no means do I advocate to run ‘completely’ barefoot on pavement, but simply to run with those bio-mechanics. Lastly, most people tell me I’m crazy. There will be some suffering on monday, but they say ‘suffering provides the opportunity to exercise will and develop grit,’ and I think that attitude would be a fitting tribute to my friend Lance, and other Special Operators killed in the line of duty.”

I wanted to thank y’all so much for your hospitality this morning. Beth and I really enjoyed meeting everyone in the 10am class.

I’ll be proudly displaying my new CF Southie t-shirt at the expo this afternoon. Hopefully, some runners will ask me about it and I’ll surely send them your way.

If any of you are ever in Columbia, SC, we would love to welcome you to our gym. I promise you’ll experience the same welcome and hospitality that we enjoyed this morning (and a great workout!).

Damn Michael Scott, you beat me to it!

Lawyer: How long have you known Ms. Levinson?

Michael: Six years and two months.

Lawyer: And you were directly under her the entire time?

    Michael: That’s what she said.
