Is CrossFit Southie for you?

Jose...getting fit to keep up with his new baby boy!

Is vanity your main concern for working out?  CrossFit Southie is not for you.

Do you want your Coach to baby and pamper you?  CrossFit Southie is not for you.

Do you like to whine and make excuses instead of work hard and find ways to create solutions?  CrossFit Southie is not for you.

Do you expect to show up on once a week, put in a little bit of effort and see miraculous results?  CrossFit Southie is not for you.

Are you unwilling to make time to stretch, mobilize, work on skills, that are going to keep you healthy and active?  CrossFit Southie is not for you.

Is your ego so big that you can not handle being humbled on a regular basis?  CrossFit is not for you.

Are you willing to commit to the best fitness program on earth and reach your maximum health and fitness potential?  Are you willing to be pushed to your limits and show up day after day for more?  Are you willing to change your lifestyle and create a new, better, healthier, stronger, happier you?  Crossfit Southie is the place for you!

It is not a coincidence  that  everyone I have ever met involved in CrossFit is a great, fun-loving person.  CrossFit is hard!  The pain we put ourselves through WOD after WOD is excruciating.  A strong work ethic and a desire to better oneself are requirements as a CrossFitter.  We continually push ourselves to the limits, to become better at CrossFit and, in turn, better at life outside of the box.  I am so grateful, day after day, for the wonderful people CrossFit has brought into my life.  This is just the beginning.  I am excited to grow our community and give back to others what CrossFit has given to me.

WOD

Three rounds for time of:
Run 100 meters
50 Push-ups
Run 100 meters
50 Sit-ups
Run 100 meters
50 Squats
Run 100 meters
50 Back extensions/supermans

L2 – 30 reps of each

L1 – 20 reps of each

“humbled on a regular basis” … as in, every single time.

sidenote: bummer about the vanity thing… I often miss being able to check out my awesome head-band, while doing curls in front of the mirror.

Well clearly vanity cannot be my main concern for working out based solely on my sweeeet workout outfit tonight. Thanks Goose for pointing out how good I looked. mwahahahaa

Great message Chris! Occasionally we need to remind ourselves that we’re defined by who we’re not as much as who we are…

My deep thought for the day…
