CrossFit for Hope

Hey gang, unfortunately with everything going on around the box, we haven’t given the St. Jude fundraiser as much attention and support as it deserves.  Today the CrossFit for Hope WOD will be held during all classes.  Donations are not required to participate but if there is anything you are willing to contribute please visit our page here.
Here is a little more on the Fundraiser and St. Jude’s…
100% of the proceeds from CrossFit for Hope go directly to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital mission is to find cures for children with cancer and other deadly diseases through research and treatment.

St. Jude is the only pediatric cancer research center where families never pay for treatment not covered by insurance. No family ever pays St. Jude for the care their child receives.

In the U.S., in children, more than 18,000 cases of cancer are diagnosed each year. Child cancer survival rates have increased from less than 20% when St Jude opened to almost 80% today.

The support of caring people like you helps ensure that St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital will continue its lifesaving mission of finding cures and saving children. St. Jude founder Danny Thomas believed that “no child should die in the dawn of life,” and your donations help bring us closer to the day when every precious life can be saved.

WOD

“Hope”

Three rounds of:
Burpees
75 pound Power snatch
Box jump, 24″ box
75 pound Thruster
Chest to bar Pull-ups

“Hope” has the same format as Fight Gone Bad. In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. On call of “rotate,” the athlete/s must move to next station immediately for a good score. One point is given for each rep.  Score is total reps completed over the three rounds.
