Good Luck DeDonno!

Schedule Update: Yoga for this Sunday (5/25) and next Sunday (6/1) have been cancelled. Also, a big congratulations to Tamara for graduating with her Masters this weekend!

If you missed the In-House Throwdown results, check them out here.

The rumors are true. Nick is entering corporate America!!

Nick was basically CrossFit Southie’s first ever member. He came in for his first “trial” session when a bunch of us were throwing down on a Sunday doing the Lumberjack 20 WOD, before the box officially opened. At that time Nick was just starting his second year of law school, and was eager to find a Box after breaking the rower at his local Globo Gym.  From the very beginning Nick was a major part of the CFS community. Nick participated in every social event (shocker), competition, and basically any time we needed a helping hand (painting the original Southie Green, laying mats down, hanging ropes and basically anything we asked).   After a year and half of dominating the noon class, Nick became a part-time coach. Once Law School finished up (December 2012) Nick became a full-time staffer here at CFS.  Since he has developed into a dedicated coach and we have watched him grow into a mature adult (depends on the day).  He now will be finishing up his last day this Saturday, May 24th.

We are extremely happy for Nick, he has been working towards this new job opportunity for a long time! Please make sure you give him a big hairy bear hug, maybe followed with a double handed butt clench? Fortunately for all, Nick’s new place of employment is in the Seaport. So instead of leading the class, you might find DD sweating, panting and making gorilla noises right beside you. It has been a pleasure having Nick as part of the CFS team, and his daily presence will be missed!!  We love you Coach DeDonno!

Nick – you will be missed. I truly enjoyed your classes and appreciate your coaching over the past couple of years. I’m bummed I can’t make it in tomorrow or Saturday, but best of luck with the new job and congrats. Now come to a 5:30 class so I can finally see you workout.

Nick was the first person I ever talked to at CFS when I came to ask about membership. Shirtless, sweaty, hairy Nick. And I still joined!
    We’ll miss you at 530!

Figured this was as good a time as any to make my first CFS comment…
I guess I’ll have to find someone else to sympathize w/ the Brown’s coaching decisions and discuss power rankings for Ohio State dive bars. Always enjoyed your classes (and socks). Best of luck, and hope to see you swing by often.

DeDonno, you hairy curmudgeon! I’ve always enjoyed your classes and unique style of coaching. Good luck with this endeavor and I look
forward to hearing you complain when you experience what an office job is like.
