10 Components of Fitness

Strength. Power. Flexibility. Stamina. Accuracy. Cardiovascular Endurance. Balance. Coordination. Agility. Speed.

As CrossFitters our goal is to be proficient in all 10 components of fitness. In doing that, we prepare ourselves for the unknown and protect ourselves against muscular imbalances and injury. Preparing us for the unknown could mean running from an enemy in combat, or it could mean chasing after your 4-year old with your 2-year old in your arms. If you CrossFit for a substantial amount of time, the likeliness of breaking a bone when slipping and falling on ice, or tearing your rotator cuff when playing whiffle ball in the back yard decreases significantly. Every time you come into class you are bettering your body’s awareness. The better your form is, the further you will prevent yourself from injury outside of our four walls.
