The Crossfit Southie First Responder Team (Colvin, Melberg, Ham, Crane) are going to be doing their competition WOD tomorrow at 4pm during Open Gym…If you are around, we welcome your encouragement!
WOD is two 2-man teams to complete the following:
Team 1
Row 1500m then 25-20-15-10-5 of Thrusters and Box Jumps
Team 2:
5-10-15-20-25 Box Jumps and Thrusters then Row 1500m

Crowley’s box jumps are money in the bank. 8+15 for me. My calves are beat from the past two days.
Seriously, though, do you have any tips for the 5:30 AM early risers as far as pre-workout nutrition? I’m not sure I’d be able to fall back asleep after a 3 AM snack.
That thing has some serious nutrition- soy protein isolate, wheat protein isolate (gluten?), sugar, cornstarch, corn syrup, and fructose?! Can’t be beat!
To be serious though, a couple of hardboiled eggs are where it’s at for me at 5AM. I make a dozen whenever I get low on my last batch so it’s always easy to grab a couple when I’m in a hurry.

Thanks for the tip! When I’m trying to bulk up I’ll be sure to make a Zone chip-wich (two cookies with bacon frosting in the middle).
