The 2014 Southie Showdown is fast approaching, and we need your help!
The Showdown is easily our biggest event of the year. 275 athletes from all over descend on CFS for a two-day individual competition. The competition is always tough and usually showcases some new talent. In the past, we’ve even had some previous Games competitors throw their hat in the ring. CrossFit vendors and retailers will also be on site sampling and selling their product. This is not an event you want to miss!
If you’re not competing but still want to be involved, we could really use your help. As you can imagine, with so many athletes, we need tons of judges. Judging is a great way to be involved in the heart of the competition all weekend long. You’ll also receive a t-shirt and lunch from Paleo Power Meals each day.
We need at least 50 judges in order for the event to run smoothly and we currently have four. Yikes! If you can count and understand CrossFit, we can teach you how to judge. We expect the competition to run from 9-4 on Saturday and 9-2 on Sunday. Even if you cannot help all weekend, we’d love to have you for part of the weekend.

Scavenger Hunt this Saturday!
If you had signed up for the Hunt last Saturday, and can not make it next Saturday please, let us know by sending an email to [email protected]. If you are able to now make it, please click HERE to sign up!
Schedule note: We will be running a reduced schedule on Saturday to allow everyone to participate in our 4th annual scavenger hunt! All morning classes will be cancelled. The gym will open at 8am for Open Gym from 8-2pm. The 12pm Intro class, 1pm Oly Meet and 2 & 3pm general classes will run as scheduled. We’ll meet at Park Street station @ 9am sharp and then take on the city by foot. At the end of the hunt, we’ll head over to the Beantown Pub for some post-hunt brews! See you at the scavenger hunt!
