As a team CrossFit Southie started with 26 competitors. We couldn’t be more proud that going into the 5th workout Southie has maintained all 26 team members. This is a big deal, it shows dedication. For a lot of the team members this has been their first time competing, and they have pushed themselves to do things that some have never even attempted before. All of the competitors have put themselves out there and have been forced to come to face with their weaknesses, and then ranked for all of the world to see. Approaching the final weeks of competition it is becoming more clear who has a chance to place in the top 60 and move on to regionals. Those who don’t make it are still much better prepared for the next competition then those who didn’t try at all. CrossFit is evolving fast and more competitions are being put into place throughout the year. This fall Southie will be hosting the finale of the Northeast Garage Games put on by Reebok and Again Faster. There will also be a ton of local throwdowns that will pop up between now and sectionals next year. My point being, keep training and continue to put yourself out there. In the end you are only competing against yourself.
