Name: Tom “Kuch” Kuchenreuther – (pronounced kooch-en-ruth-er)TomK1

Born: 1990
Background: Grew up in West Milford, NJ and graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) with a degree in Management Information Systems. Currently work at a private equity firm as a Systems Administrator (IT stuff).

Athletic life: Soccer and baseball from as young as I possibly could start through High School. Started lifting with the classic body building routine in my college gym freshman year to get stronger and gain weight. I got introduced to Crossfit from my roommate who’s brother went to Southie at the time (small world). I started Crossfit in the spring of 2011 at Flower City Crossfit in Rochester, NY and haven’t stopped since. I can’t get enough. I read and watch every article/video I can, to learn more about fitness, coaching, nutrition, Crossfit, mobility, lifting (all kinds), mindset, breathing etc. I consider my knowledge to be a mile wide and an inch deep. I have decided I’m not going to be an expert at one thing, so I try to be ‘good’ at everything. My specialty is not specializing! Which is a core Crossfit value and why I think it fits so well with me.
